Major General (Ret.) Yves Fontaine, President:
Major General (Retired) Yves Fontaine was born in La Louviere, Belgium and emigrated to the United States as a young man becoming a naturalized U.S. citizen at the age of 20. From this point, he began his unique American journey, entering the United States Army after graduation from LaSalle University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science degree in Management. MG (Ret) Fontaine spent the next 36 years serving his country as a logistics officer. A native French language speaker, his formal academic training is diverse with a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from LaSalle University, a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Webster University and a second Master’s Degree in Advanced Military Studies from the Army’s Command and General Staff College, School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS).
Upon retirement from active military service, MG (Ret) Fontaine established Fontaine Consulting, LLC as a Service- Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Rock Island, Illinois where he and his company maintain an excellent relationship with the Army’s Rock Island Arsenal and the local community. Fontaine Consulting, LLC provides strategic planning and logistical expertise to organizations seeking expansion and it does so with the vision of successfully achieving the stated goals of the client’s enterprise with integrity and quality assurance. MG (ret) Fontaine serves on numerous boards of both directors and advisors. Recently, MG (ret) Fontaine was inducted in the US Army Ordnance Hall of Fame in 2018.
He is married to Kathleen, who has been his counsel for the past 45 years. They have been blessed with four daughters, and eight grandchildren.

Flint W. Znamenacek, VP of Operations:
Successfully owning and operating two small businesses in the past positions Mr. Znamenacek to be a key player to Fontaine Consulting, LLC. His expansive business development expertise, marketing strategies, strategic planning and analytical acumen allow him to be successful at all levels in corporate Fontaine Consulting. Flint received his B.S. in Business and Administration from the University of Colorado, Boulder. He then received his MBA from Saint Ambrose University. Flint leads Fontaine Consulting's CONUS and OCONUS operational portfolio to include contractual, budgetary, and strategic corporate program management. This includes periodic program site visits with employees, partners, and leadership.
Flint is also directly involved in leading new business development for Fontaine Consulting. In doing so, he evaluates and analyzes new business opportunities for capture, manages and negotiates partnership opportunities, and provides technical and cost/pricing solutions to win in DOD and commercial space.
Flint serves as Director on the regional National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) board and participates in various subcommittees, including the yearly Midwest Symposium at Vibrant Arena at the Mark.

Sara D. Pennington, Human Resource Director & Facility Security Officer (FSO)
Sara Pennington joined Fontaine Consulting in 2016 as our Human Resource Manager and Facility Clearance Officer. Mrs. Pennington is a key player to Fontaine Consulting daily operations. As our Human Resource Manager, she takes the lead on recruiting and hiring as well as making sure all training requirements are successfully completed. As our Facility Clearance Officer, she manages all personnel clearances and ensures Fontaine Consulting follows all regulations under the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency. Sara has a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and a Minor in Paralegal Studies from Methodist University, Fayetteville, North Carolina. In 2018, Sara was awarded the Department of the Army Achievement Medal for Civilian Service and the Fort Carson Columbine Award due to her outstanding volunteer service to the Soldiers and Families of the 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne).
